The Vice Chairman of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization arrived in Cairo on April 21. He will discuss flights between Tehran and Cairo as well as resuming tourism flights between the two countries with his Egyptian counterparts. The Egyptian Tourism Minister said recently that Iranian tourist trips will be suspended until June to evaluate and review the experience of the Iranian tourists who came to Egypt. He dismissed reports about spreading Shiite Islam in Egypt. On April 1, more than 50 Iranian tourists arrived in Upper Egypt as the first official group from Iran to visit Egypt for tourism purposes in decades. The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that Iran and Egypt will continue to exchange tourists.
