Reformist daily closed until after the elections

Daily newspaper, Asr-e Zohur (time of reappearance), has been closed by the order of the prosecutor of the special court for clergy of Kerman. Asr-e Zohur was closed for publishing the photo of reformist leader Seyyed Mohammad Khatami along with a report regarding the possible candidacy of the former president in its special New Year edition. The newspaper’s managers were reportedly told not to resume the publication until after the upcoming presidential elections on June 14.
