Wednesday, 8 May 2013

Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi reiterated Iran’s support for Syria and praised the “resistance against the recent Zionist attacks.” He stressed that resolution of the Syrian crisis could only be achieved through “Syrian-Syrian political dialogue and non-intervention of foreign forces in the country.”  Salehi also met with his Syrian counterpart, Walid al-Muallem. Earlier this week Salehi met with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and his Jordanian counterpart to discuss recent developments in Syria.
