Iran’s broadcast network negatively affecting reformist candidate Aref’s election campaign

Tuesday, 28 May 2013

The first television election campaign program of reformist candidate Mohammad Reza Aref was stopped after thirty minutes. According to the network, the program was stopped due to a technical error but Aref’s public relations manager said that the broadcast was halted as a passive response to Aref’s statements, and since the show is recorded, even if there had been a technical error, it could be quickly resolved. He emphasized that the behavior of the network harms to a certain degree its neutrality.
