Automobile industry is “doomed to extinction”

Bahram Shahriari, former member of the board of directors of Iran’s Auto Part Manufacturers Association, said  that unless small auto part manufacturers merge and combine their resources, Iran’s automobile industry is “doomed to extinction.” He added that  that sanctions prevented the sale of auto parts to the French automaker Peugeot, and Iran’s auto part manufacturers are having a difficult time obtaining parts used in their production.
