Two political activists jailed

A court in Iran has sentenced a political activist to six years in prison and 10 years of exile to the southern city of Bandar Abbas. “Saeed Madani was sentenced for activities against national security and propaganda against the (Islamic system). Another activist, Ehsan Hushmand, was sentenced to one year’s suspended imprisonment. Hushmand was arrested on 17 Dey (January 6, 2013) and was later released on bail. He also experienced various kinds of pressure during the investigation.
