According to data published after a few months delay by the Central Bank, food prices rose on average by 58% in the 12 months ending March 2013, representing the highest rise in recent years. The highest increase was recorded for vegetables, which rose by 73% during this period. The lowest increase was in red meat, the prices of which rose by 42%. Wheat and bread prices rose by 56%, dairy products by 54% and fruit by 69%.
