Iran dismisses reports of resumption of direct flights between Tehran and Washington

The public relations office of the Civil Aviation Organization and Iran Air (Homa) issued a statement denying the report today. Earlier Majid Javedani-Tabrizi, a representative for Washington-based law firm Venable LLP in Iran, said that the start of talks on the resumption of direct flights between the USA and Iran was Tehran’s decision. The Iranian Foreign Minister also welcomed the possibility of establishing direct flights between Iran and the US. “Launching flights is for people’s welfare and we have no problems with it.”
