Ahmadinejad is scheduled to attend the 2nd Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Moscow that will open on July 1 and 2. During his visit, Ahmadinejad will also meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and they will discuss regional issues, including the Syrian crisis and issues related to the Caspian Sea. Iran’s Embassy in Moscow announced that the Iranian President “will hold one-on-one meetings with the President of the Russian Federation (Vladimir Putin) and some other senior officials attending the conference.” He will also deliver a speech at the summit. It was previously reported that Ahmadinejad would also discuss Russia’s new offer to supply Iran with the Antey-2500, (S-300VM or SA-23 Gladiator) SA missile system instead of the S-300.
