Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami, member of the Assembly of Experts, and Tehran’s temporary Friday prayer Imam, said in a meeting with clergymen and preachers that as long as the elected government works according to the lines of velyat-e faqih, it will receive our approval. However, if it deviates even minimally from the principle of velyat-e faqih, it will no longer be part of us.
