Intelligence and foreign ministers need to be free of party considerations

Ismail Kothari, member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee (NSFPC) referred to the general characteristics of the next cabinet and said that the ministers in the next government need to be appointed according to the criteria and achievements of the Islamic Revolution – in other words, they need to support Velayat-e faqih and the Constitution. He emphasized that the incoming ministers must refrain from dealing with trivial matters and try to focus on the main issues and problems. He added that specifically the Foreign Minister and Intelligence Minister must be sure to steer clear of party issues related to various currents. They need to focus on the general interest of the regime.
