Rafsanjani: The new government will solve the drug crisis

In a meeting with the board of the Iranian drug manufacturers association, Rafsanjani addressed the concerns of those present regarding the market for pharmaceuticals and the problems in allocation of foreign currency for drugs. He said that the situation of patients and their families gives great cause for concern and sorrow. He expressed regret that in addition to suffering from their disease they are having difficulty obtaining drugs. He said he was hopeful that the new government would be able to change the policy and gradually solve the problems. He added that the sanctions on drugs are very evil and argued that those who talk about protection of civil rights are causing citizens and patients to suffer for no reason.
