Morteza Barari, Deputy Communications and Information Technology Minister, said that the Ministry plans to hire private companies to run the national e-mail network in order to do away with people’s suspicions that the government is checking their mails. “To dispel these rumors, we can hand over part of the work to the private sector. In this way, people themselves will be providing these services, and suspicions will be eliminated.” He said that the Iranian authorities do not check e-mails through the newly-established network.
