Iran marks International (Jerusalem) Quds Day

Friday, 2 August 2013

Iranian marchers are carrying placards and chanting slogans against the United States and Israel. Quds Day (“Jerusalem Day”) is held annually by the Iranian regime  on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan. Quds Day  is marked in Iran, the Middle East, and elsewhere in the world.  The events are a show of support from Iran and the Muslim world for the Palestinian cause and the “liberation of Jerusalem”, as well as a statement of defiance against the US and the West. The Iranian regime mobilizes the people and hands them placards that reads: “Death to Israel”, “Death to America”. The mob also burns Israeli, US and UK flags. This year the Iranian media emphasizes the Arab “moderate” destructive and hypocritical roll in “protecting the Zionist regime” and western efforts to break the “resistant front” in Syria.
