SWIFT sanctions may possibly be lifted

An informed source from Iran’s Central Bank is reporting that the possibility that the sanctions imposed on Iran by SWIFT may be lifted. According to the source, once the boycott is lifted in this area, services involving credit cards and foreign currency in Iran will begin to move. This source, who asked to remain anonymous, claims that although despite the sanctions, banks could use the older systems, the reinstitution of SWIFT would facilitate banking ties.
