No furlough for political prisoner in 17 years

Kurdish political prisoner Vali Doroodi, who has been imprisoned in Yazd central prison has not had furlough in 17 years. Doroodi formerly served in the Iranian navy and charged in the 1980s of collaborating with the Kurdish Democratic Party. He was released in 1993 but re-arrested in 1995, when he was sentenced to life and exile. Despite serving more than half his sentence, Doroodi has not been allowed furlough from prison.
