Several IT prisoners released on bail, others remain in prison

Amir Sadegh Pour, Malihe Nakhei and Mahdi Faryabi were released today on bail but five others remain in prison. The prisoners are part of a group of IT experts who were arrested on the Narenji website. Mehdi Faryabi, works as a developer at KhorjinApp. His website server seems expired. He is one of sixteen Iranian IT specialists and net citizens arrested last month. They have been threatened with the “maximum punishment” for politically-motivated charges of anti-regime “subversion” and “collusion” with foreigners. On December 4, 2013 IRGC arrested 16 cyber who had “ties to foreigners” and “cooperated with anti-government websites.”
