Religious cleric: Koran emphasizes need for rage against the enemy, infidels, MKO and Jews, who today are the Zionists

Thursday, 30 January 2014

In a meeting with Defense Ministry workers, Grand Ayatollah Hussein Nuri-Hamadani discussed recent statements made by John Kerry regarding Iran (all options are on the table) and said that the enemies of the revolution and of Islam can never be calm with Iran, adding that the Americans constantly speak about options on the table and threaten us with the military option. In response, we vehemently say that “Iran will cut off the hand of those who want to exercise this option from the table.” Nuri-Hamadani expressed appreciation and gratitude for the position adopted by IRGC commander Jafari in this matter, adding that these statements by the West are nothing more than foolish, since Islamic Iran, which relies on the wisdom of the Supreme Leader and the courage of its citizens, do not fear any power. Regarding the enemy’s efforts to present Iran as weak, Nuri-Hamadani said that the Koran emphasizes that one must love G-d’s enemies but at the same time stresses the need to rage against the enemies, infidels, Munafiqueen (derogatory name for the Mujahideen-e Khalq MKO) and the Jews, who today are the Zionists, mentioned in the Koran as enemies of the Muslims. We learned from the Koran how to identify the enemies. We do not fear any power or threat, and will move forward forcefully in the path to promoting the revolution. He added that the Iranian revolution in 1979 set the stage for other revolutions around the world.
