On the sidelines of a the cabinet’s weekly session, vice-president Mohammad Baqer Nowbakht said that the national budget for the next Iranian year “did not consider the (possible) achievements of the Geneva deal at all.” He added that oil revenues in the next year’s budget make up almost an equal share compared to that of the previous year and does not include the income from the Geneva nuclear deal. The Majlis has approved the outlines of the government’s budget bill for the year starting from 21 March 2014 to 21 March 2015. Out of 209 present Majlis members, 130 voted for the bill, 59 against it and 10 abstained.
