Deputy Health Minister: obesity lowering life expectancy in Iran by 10 years on average in comparison with rest of the world

Reza Malek Zade announced that 70% of Iranians eat too much and 20% of the population suffers from obesity. According to Zade, overeating is the most important cause important risk to public health in Iran. Overeating of rice and bread has resulted in about 70% of the population being overweight, which causes life expectancy in Iran to be an average 10 years lower than the rest of the world.
